Eureka AirExcel Compact NLS Canister Vacuum Review

The world of vacuum cleaners has evolved so much since I was a little girl, instead of heavy duty devices which are back achingly difficult to lug around, today you get compact, lightweight machines with even more functionality.

Of all the machines I examined while vacuum shopping, the Eureka AirExcel Compact NLS Canister Vacuum was the one that really caught my eye. This list of features will give you an insight into why it is such a good machine to consider purchasing.

What Do You Want?

Before you hit the stores you need to know what it is you’re looking for in a vacuum cleaner. Today almost everyone wants the same specifications; these are some of those features that I found to be in conjunction with the Eureka AirExcel:

  • It is lightweight and slender which makes it easy to store.
  • Its dust cup is easy to remove and a cinch to clean.
  • Carpets and bare floors, it cleans both.
  • It has a multi-cyclone system which is a very good thing, basically it is very powerful and it also uses HEPA filtration.

What is HEPA Filtration?

I asked the same question, there are a lot of vacuum cleaners that use this filtration system and the AirExcel is no exception. H.E.P.A or high efficiency particulate air filter’ is great for getting rid of unwanted allergens, with a near 100% success rate, so for people like me it’s a god send.

The list of features for the AirExcel does not end with “allergy killer” it also comes with an adjustable wand which makes it really easy to reach nooks and crannies around the house. Its suction force at 9amps is really extraordinary; you can clean your entire home in a single run without any hiccup’s from the machine.

It comes with a 16.5inch power cord which thankfully automatically rewinds with the click of a button, so you don’t have to wrap the cord around the machine handle like I used to do with my old vacuum. There are no dust bags, only a dust cup so you don’t have to worry about buying replacement bags. Finally the canister itself is transparent which means you never have to check if the dust cup is full, you’ll be able to see it.

The only problem I would say I had with this vacuum is that the suction is just so powerful that it machine sticks to the rugs in my home sometimes, but since it does such a good job of cleaning them I don’t mind too much.

Overall the entire mechanism weighs a mere 8lbs so moving around the house and climbing stairs while carrying it is a breeze and its performance is excellent. The one year manufactures warranty has you covered if anything should go wrong with this vacuum cleaner that is a perfect combination between power and compact size.

If the features mentioned above in this Eureka AirExcel Compact NLS Canister Vacuum review are what you are looking for in a vacuum then you really should go down to a store and test it to see if my assessment is right, you won’t regret it.
